Hit the Leisure Lake and try something new this summer. Kayaking gets you close to the water without actually getting in (hopefully!) and is suitable for all ages. It’s quick and easy to learn the basics so you’ll soon be exploring the corners of the lake, taking in the beautiful scenery as you go.
If you’re feeling slightly braver, give paddle boarding a go! There’s no experience needed, the calm waters of the lake make it ideal for first timers but if you are an experienced paddler wanting to refine your skills, there’s plenty of open water space too.
Get back to nature and use your stay at Clawford Lakes as an opportunity to try open water swimming. Competent swimmers can enjoy the truly liberating experience with 2 sessions each day.
Although dogs can’t join you for a swim in the Leisure Lake, they do have their own dedicated doggie dipping lake too so there’s no need for them to miss out on a little paddle!
The indoor pool in the exclusive Lake Spa is the perfect place to enjoy a splash around with the family, or some relaxing ‘me time.’ The pool has an infinity feel looking out over the Leisure Lake so it’s a great place to people watch too! And don’t forget the steam room if chilling out is what you need.

The two boules courts are on the lawn in front of the restaurant decking near the adventure play area. Pop and get the equipment from the bar if it isn’t out already.
Or try our pre-bookable guided archery sessions with help from our qualified team. Equipment is provided. Participants must be aged 8 or over for safety reasons. Available during school holidays only.
Pre-book a Park Ranger session for during your stay and get a unique opportunity to learn real bushcraft skills, like constructing a shelter using materials from the forest floor, building a fire or making tea from nature’s own larder. Your friendly Park Ranger will also teach you the names of the forest plants, animals and minibeasts, how to identify woodland mammals from the signs they leave, and how to get help in an emergency if you are camping in the wild, as well as a host of other fabulous nature facts and tips.

During school holidays we’re treated to fabulous family entertainment – juggling, magic, fun, laughter and more! Catch our entertainers on the Apple & Grape decking – check entertainment guides on park for show dates and times.
And, for the kids to entertain themselves, check out the BRAND NEW adventure play area (ideally located near the bar so you can keep a close eye while putting your feet up with a drink!) There are small play areas dotted around the resort too – take a stroll and see how many you discover.
Dogs are family, aren’t they? That’s why we don’t charge extra for you to bring them with you. Bring one, two or three dogs, so they can all join in on the fun.
We have a huge range of pet-friendly accommodation and your pooches are welcome to join you in the restaurant, bar and Spa lounge so they don’t miss out on any family fun.
We’ve got watering stations dotted around the Resort and there’s a dedicated doggie dipping lake if they fancy a swim too.
