Electric cars are the way forward, but right now, finding an Electric Vehicle (EV) charger can be a source of stress, and that’s something you just don’t need when you’re going on holiday. That’s why we have introduced EV charging points at Clawford Lakes for your convenience, and it’s also why we have made charging either free of charge or priced at cost, depending upon which accommodation you are staying in.
We have made charging your car as easy for you as we can. For free charging right outside your door, stay in a lodge or holiday home, where you have your own private charging point.
If you are staying in a lake pod, floating lodge, luxury cocoon, Willows holiday home or apartment, we have installed communal fast chargers in the two main car parks – two chargers in each car park. These are pay as you use, but we have made the decision to keep the price at cost because sustainability is more important to us than profit.
Using an EV charger at Clawford Lakes is as simple as it gets. The user-friendly charging points mean you can just pull up your car, insert the charging lead, select your KWH option and let the charge begin. There’s no app to download or details to enter and you can ‘fill up’ any time. Replenish your charge when you get here and, at the end of your holiday, make sure you’re fully charged for the journey home.
Installing EV chargers is just one of the actions we are taking in our efforts to become more eco-friendly – and of course to make life easier for you. Our natural environment at Clawford Lakes sits within one of only six UNESCO Biosphere Reserves within the UK. This has inspired us to strive to live in harmony with the natural world and protect its biodiversity for the future, putting sustainability at the top of our agenda.
