Accommodation types will include luxury self-catering lodges, complete with private hot tubs, floating lodges which are built right over the lakes with a private floating terrace, angling pods and the special and unique luxury cocoons. The cocoons boast an exclusive-to-the-UK design, with the only others currently located in Big Sur, California and Auckland, New Zealand, provided by manufacturer ‘Autonomous Tents’. The structures are built from a tensile skin and feature a beautiful wooden frame design at one end with huge floor-to-ceiling windows that give guests a breath-taking view over the lake. They come complete with all home comforts, including a bathroom and equipped cooking facilities.

Easily accessible by car, despite its remote location, Clawford Lakes Resort and Spa will offer a quality and range of luxury leisure options that are currently unavailable in this part of Devon.
As well as providing spectacular high-quality accommodation, from Spring 2022 Clawford Lakes Resort and Spa will also feature a Honka-built swimming pool and spa facility. The Scandinavian design will perfectly marry with the remote countryside and will be made with the highest-spec raw materials to create a calm and sophisticated leisure centre, complete with sauna, treatment rooms and infinity pool right on the lakeside.
Guests will also be able to take advantage of Clawford Lakes’ excellent waterside location, with coarse fishing, paddle boarding, cycling, leisure walks and bushcraft activities all available from Spring 2022.

The site is 22 miles north of Dartmoor National Park, and just a 30-minute drive from Cornwall’s north coast, making it a perfect base for visitors who want to spend time in Devon as well as exploring Bude, Padstow and St. Ives.
Whilst some of Clawford Lakes’ accommodation is available for short holiday rentals, the luxury lodges with hot tubs are also available for purchase. The lodges will be on sale as pre-furnished holiday homes available to use year-round for personal use, as well as offering the opportunity for owners to generate an income from letting out their lodge. Clawford Lakes offer a cleaning and laundry service between lettings to make the transitions as easy as possible, and excellent ground management is included in the site fees.
